More than 200 vintage British sports cars will be on display when the British Motorcar Gathering is staged at Hellertown Reservoir Park, just south of Bethlehem, in eastern Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley.
The annual show features finely restored MGs, Triumphs, Jaguars, Austin-Healeys, Morgans and Mini-Coopers from every mid-Atlantic state. Classic British sports cars and sedans dating from the 1930s to present day will be displayed in a wooded setting, with separate areas for each make of car.
Those registered will choose the top three examples of each class and model of car, with more than 50 awards to be made. There will also be a "Best of Show" award for the favorite car of the day, and a "Diamond in the Rough" award, given to a car which is still on its way to complete restoration.
All makes of British cars and motorcycles, old and new, are welcome. Show classes will be detemined by number of cars of each marque and model which pre-registered by May 31.
The field opens at 9 a.m., with judging from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Catered food and drinks are available in a large picnic pavilion, or bring your own picnic, with events for children and music provided all day.
The British Motorcar Gathering will be held RAIN OR SHINE, with no rain date.
Spectators: The general public is welcome at the show for a $2 donation to the club. Family admission is $5. NOTE: Spectator parking is free, but limited.
Registration: $15 at the gate. Show classes will be determined by the cars which were pre-registered as of May 31.
