Just to let you all know.. I've been keeping an eye on the weather (it's been wild for the past few weeks  on and off)

If Sunday should prove a bit "damp"  the ride will go one albeit at a slower pace.. BUT if the Access Road is very wet  (it is only Gravel and Dirt).. we will stop at the ferry.. and then you will all get out your long lenses.. and shoot the Coffee Pot from the beach

sorry. but while some of the Countrymen have AWD.. it's NOT 4WD
and I want us to be SAFE!.. so  if the skys open up on Sunday  there will be a ride out there.. but not on the access road

rob

I can take my expedition and bring 7 others comfortably out there :-P

I added the following decal to it does that give it a pass to be in the rally?

Rob, glad to hear you are feeling better.  I hate to say it but I can't come in the AM.  Two weeks straight of picket duty in NYC has worn me out.  Have fun tomorrow folks.

Hey sorry to be one of those guys but.  Where and when is this until where and when?

Matt at Habberstad told me about this Friday.  I'm up in northern westchester but would be down for the ride if the particulars work out.

I'm sure the details are somewhere in the 7 pages....but it's late and it's 7 pages. lol

anyone?

I think my boyfriend and I will be attempting to join the motor! Smiley

If we don't have the two-way radios, how do you suggest we stay in touch with the group? I'm pretty unfamiliar with the area, and although we will have gps if anything happens, I really am coming to be with the group.

Thanks!!

Map links are on page 2 or 6 depending on how you are set up....but you can't miss them....as for radios....most of us have 2 so we can lend one at the start Smiley

As a few of you wanted to know..
here is the link to the Bean & Bagel Cafe in Calverton.. our starting place  for the MTOP
Remember  we will check in and leave by 10-10:15
The first 15 cars to check in will be the cars going down the access road to the point. Since the road is gravel some of you might not want to take your cars down there... let me know upon check in

Great Info. Thanks!!!
I've combed through the posts, and have all the maps and addresses handy if we decide to go, but I've just been checking the weather. We may not go if it's going to be wet. It's not nearly as much fun if we aren't taking the convertible out.  Sad

In case we don't make it, I hope you all have a great time!!

actually, it's not supposed to be really wet until later on in the afternoon...the run will be over sometime before 3... but rob only has permission to take 15 cars out on the access road out to the lighthouse ...

and if you can't go, hey, it was nice hearing from you...thanks for your interest...

sorry to hear you can't come peter..i just read that the verizon workers returned to work without a deal...we will miss you...
