i'm re-introducing this thread.. since as of 3 weeks ago I found out Captree State Park on the far end of Jones Beach Island stopped charging admission.  Plus, you can actually get  some food there. 

So We will be down there tomorrow  and since everyone has an extra hour sleep.. anyone want to join us??   we will have to leave no later than 10:30 since Sue and I have a US Mini Club meeting at the Hassel Mini showroom in Freeport (but we will most likely be taking our Fiat there) We have taken the Mini around too

So  usually if it is a nice day there are ALL sorts of cars there.. from Ferrari's to vettes or porsch  to VW to mini to anything and everything

saw a few home made oldies including one with a Long Island Motor Parkway plate there.. and why not??

honestly   9 am  by 10 a lot have left  and by 11 almost all is gone   earlier if you wish  but as i said  we will shoot down jones beach island to freeport and the showroom

This is a weekly event. And while it's true I'm showing off my Fiat more than my 03 MINI.. last week   I was the only fiat and NOT A SINGLE MINI was there!!!!  c.'mon guys    Fiat Mini Old new (especially some very pretty original Minis or Fiats or MGs or whatever..

I was there last week too  from 9 to about 9:45

from Freeport  it couldnt be simpler.
Go down the Meadowbrook to Jones Beach along Ocean Parkway, and take Ocean Parkway as far East as you can go.. to Captree State Park. I'll be in the parking lot in a light green Fiat 500  usually on the west side.. but at 9 am the cars extend all the way east .

I was there in the classic until about 9. Sorry I missed you.  Actually parked across from the gremlin. Probably will not be out tomorrow house needs some loving too.

From Freeport - go south on the meadowbrook to ocean parkway (jones beach) and head east until you can not go any more.
