Hey MINI Peeps!  The run this year is essentially the same as last year with a few new wrinkles.

When: Saturday May 19th @ 9:00 a.m. (new wrinkle - see below)
Where: Coopers Beach, Southampton, NY to Montauk Point and back to Southampton

I wanted to get an earlier start this year so everyone gets plenty of time to take in the sights out at Montauk and so we can eat lunch at an hour closer to lunch time!  I’ve focused the last 3 years on making the route as efficient and as fun as I can given the traffic out on the South Fork, but this year I want us all to be able to park out at the Point and explore.  

The start time has been moved up to 9:00 but I’m setting it up as a rolling start from 9:00-10:30.  Here’s how I would like it to work:

9:00 - 10:30 - All MINIS from LI, NJ, NYC etc. that are not bound to a ferry reservation should arrive - once 10-15 MINIS are lined up, I’ll be sending you off with a fearless leader.  

10:30 - All MINIS bound to a ferry reservation should arrive.  Any ferry that leaves CT by 7:30 will get you to the start on time.

There are some benefits to arriving early - less traffic and more time to hang out with MINIACS.  Like last year, once all the groups have motored through Sag Harbor and arrive at the rest area in Easthampton, we’ll all be heading out to Montauk Point as a large group.

Lunch plans are currently tentative.  I’ll keep you updated.

T-shirt and badge designs are done and T-shirts are currently available to order on the MTTP site.  Orders for shirts must be made through the MTTP site by April 27th.  The MINI featured on the shirt this year is that little CR/B Clubman that came all the way from Illinois last year.  Mike planned his vacation around MTTP 3 and so begins something new - the MINI that comes the farthest to MTTP 4 will be featured on next year’s shirt!  Here’s a link:

redmini and Lukifer - you're added!  M1N1-12 - I missed you completely but you're in now.

If everyone can keep me updated on passengers, it will be very helpful.  Inlet Seafood Restaurant will hold roughly 80 people, maybe more on a good sunny day when we can eat outside.  The first 80 people will be eating at Inlet - after that I think the best we can do is send you over to Gosman's Dock where we ate in 2010.  

I can't bring myself to limiting the number of MINIS so as long as everyone knows the deal at lunch, we're all good.  Current head count: roughly 45.
