Here is one of my favorite runs-The Jim Thorpe Run. Saturday, June 2nd.  To get to the starting point from LI is about 2 1/2 hours, but well worth it!

Just wanted to let you guys know Jerseygirl is looking for BBQ payments, so that she can send out the food poll. If you plan on not bringing your own lunch I would send her money via paypal when you get a chance.

So what's the plan for meeting and caravaning down? I just mapquested the route and it says approx 3 hours from my place in Bay Shore. Since we need to be there about 9:30 I say we should leave around 6:30. Any suggestions of where to meet?

Meg, I am up for it.  I usually hit Southern State from either Belmont Ave or Wellwood Ave.

Ok, we'll probably be leaving bay shore around 6:00 now (I forgot Robyn had posted about the extra time for contruction). PLus we're meeting up with another owner off 78. So, if I am thinking Belmont ave is the road I think it is (the exit after belmont state park) we could meet in the parking lot of the state office (if you know where that is) around 6:10.
