Does anyone remember the route from last year?

Fran was the leader on that one. I remember most of the homes were (more or less) out her way.

I've got the route that we did last year.. I got it from the woman herself! Now we have to convince her to join us - but I dont' even know if we have enough people interested in this.  We could do it Friday or Saturday this weekend, or Friday of next weekend. (22nd)

Can I get a show of hands on who would be interested?







OK Kids,,, here is the Christmas Light Run Route....

Meet at Julian's/Dave & Busters/Home Depot/Route 110 at 5pm

head on over to Wellwood Ave/Pinelawn road,, heading south...all the

way down to

Montauk Highway,,making a left on montauk,,,just a few blocks until

traffic light at

Linton Ave,,, Right turn onto Linton,, all the way down to the end.

(4 stop signs)

Harding Ave....Linton dead ends at Harding,,

so we will be making a right, and stopping

at 10 HARDING AVE< LINDENHURST.... get out of the cars,, walk

around,,take pictures...

PLEASE BRING A NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM, FOR THE BASKET....

I have sent a request for Santa Claus to make an appearance at

appox 5:45 to 6:15pm. Hey, you never know..and then he shall wave us

goodbye, so we can spread the merry cheer, and put smiles on faces of

those who see us,,all in a row..if Santa won't give us an audience, then I

will ring his door bell, and we can all run like hell, wait until you see

his ""Mini"" cars, one on the front lawn, one in the drive way....WAY COOL.

Round the corner, back to Linton Ave, heading back to Montauk Highway..

Right turn on

Montauk highway,,,(heading east) for 2 Traffic Lights,

making a Left Turn on to

Park Ave....up to, and turning Right, into Nevada Street, stopping in the

Cal-de-Sec at or about 428 Nevada St.....stop, get out, take pictures, get

back in, Zoom away..

Right turn out of Nevada, Right Turn on

South Railroad Ave,,(heading east) for 2 traffic lights, Right Turn on

Little East Neck Road, heading back down to Montauk Highway,

for a lovely run thru Babylon Village.....Left turn on

Deer Park Ave,,,,,all the way up to and over Southern State Parkway

,,Right turn on

Parkdale Drive (at light) all the way down to Deer Lake Drive,

,making right,, following it down to Kime,,, making a right onto KIME..

as we SLOWLY drive on Kime,, Be Prepared to pull over and park

anywhere we can, as this is the house, that Newsday just featured in

Saturdays paper,...there isn't a blade of grass that is getting any sunlight

on this lawn. Expect a MAJOR traffic jam there and this house is

accepting cash donations for the Schneider Children's Hospital,

please remember the holiday spirit, and give what you can.

then depending on how we land up after this house,,

round the back way, back to

Parkdale Drive, to catch the traffic light, left to Jump onto South State

Parkway...Franny


and then maybe we can decide where we want to get a snack afterwards.

Holiday Lights 2006 - Our 2nd Annual Holiday Lights Run...Starting 7:00-7:30pm from The Airport Plaza Shopping Center parking lot by the Bagel Factory (time for coffee and bagel to go?) same as last year. Make sure your MINI is dressed up for the occasion. It is important you take your walky-talky radios with you on this run!

OK Mini's, Its Time to Sign In, and get out the Holiday CD from last

year. I would appreciate a head count for Friday's nights run, so I can

get a fix on Finger Food, being served afterwards, back at Bosco's

place. I  will be heading out on Thursday, to confirm the route,

checking out other houses in the neighborhood, that were featured in

Sunday's Newsday. I will be posting final route, so those of you who

have Nav, or want to do Google Earth/Map Quest, will be able to so.

Its not as easy as everyone thinks, keeping a dozen or so cars

together, in the DARK, with 1000's of other cars/peoples in the

way.  Last year we ended up at my "place" which is owned by Bosco,

the 105 lb Doberman. (We just pay the mortgage)  Bosco will Meet

and Greet all who enter, and will Sniff out the soft touch. If you have a

problem with that, be advised you are more than welcome to join

us all for the run, but Bosco rules, and is NOT put into a cage/spare

room/outside. So BZZZZ,,, if you would be so kind as to start one of

those Sign In Lists... until then I remain....MysteryMini, formally know
