i was shopping for a new car  PC Typing i was looking at the new Honda civic Si No no... , the Mazda rx8 Very confused, and the Mini Woopy dance. I know thats a weird mix but thats how it starts. so i went to a Honda dealer Honda city and no one wanted to help me  Bang Head! so i looked at the Si on the show room floor walked up to the desk asked for the sales manager. when he came over I took the 2 envelopes containing 12k each and told him he just lost an easy sale Pimping Out! LOL ROTF. next i went to country Mazda in huntington to look at the RX8 but as i pulled into the parking lot i saw a used 03 MCS Wave Hi! Whooopeee! so i asked about it.the car had been traded in a few hours prior and they didn't know how much to sell it for. i offered them cash and got a great deal Google Eyes. I'm very glad that that Honda dealer sucked and i found my baby.

I was shopping for Mini's before I could drive (classic Minis). I liked Minis  before the new one was even a concept, to go waaaay back for ya. I like small, simple cars, and the Mini seemed like something I would never own because I was hit with negative feedback from everyone. I was told theres no way you can get parts for them, or get them registered/imported bla bla bla. I did the research on where to get parts, and actually used my knowledge of the Mini on two research papers for high school. My 73 Mini was my second car which I bought for an awesome deal on ebay, in October of 05. As soon as it was on the road I was up to no good tearing apart the neighborhood and waking the dead with my straightpipe, when a sewer cap gracefully removed the muffler from the car. I had to change a distributor and a front wheel bearing in the process. I then thought "wow imagine if I could ever buy the new MINI". April 06, I did just that and got one used after hustling and selling my first and third cars at a profit. I took the classic off the road to rebuild it because I had some rust issues and originally bought it as a project car anyway. Since getting the 03 S a year ago, I looked into trading it in for a GP when those came out, and thought "hell I can never pull that one off". After searching for an Mc-40, which was the new MINI I originally wanted, I sold my 03S.  Let's MOTOR! motorings in thy blood.

My dad used to bring me to car showrooms & car shows.  My favorite was Raymond Foreign Cars in BayShore.  Mostly BMC/British Leyland products.  I remember seeing a Mini there, had to be '66 or so.  When I heard BMW were thinking of selling the new MINI here I was over the moon.  When Hassel opened, I stopped down on a Sunday (when they were closed)...there were half a dozen other gear heads ogling over the few Coopers parked outside (the S wasn't out yet).  A few months later I had my CR/W Cooper!  Just wish dad was there to see her.
