Just got this info.  Will find out more details soon:

NECC (North East Corvair Council) is a club formed  over 30 years ago to promote the Corvair by  putting on "time trial" events at Lime Rock Park.
The short story is: The number of Corvair owners willing to prepare cars for a race track experience declined over the years. Over 10 years ago we became an "open" event and also added a Pocono road  course and usually one other time trial a year at tracks like Summit Point and Beaver Run.

I am writing to invite your club members to join us this year at our Lime Rock time trials on Mon Aug 27th. With enough participation we could try to set up a separate run group for Minis and maybe even your own trophy class eventually. But I am Jumping ahead,  we would welcome 1 or 2 or 5 or 10 Minis, for you to see how we run an event.

The day goes like this:
On site tech 7am
Drivers meeting 8:30
First cars out 9:am
20 minute run groups by pre-arranged speed potential (3 - 4 Groups) to familiarize yourself with the track.
After 1 run per group we open the track to rotate on and off the track as you are ready. We will limit
the  number of cars running at one time and Passing
only in marked safe passing zones. (No fender to fender racing into the corners.)
2:30 or 3:00 we will clear the track and start  Time Trials. You will run alone on the track for about
5 laps with the middle 3 timed.
A driver can get 1 1/2 to 2 hours of track time.

If you see any interest in your club for events like this, please let me know.

Looks like a driver's license, SA 2000 helmet and a car that passes tech...
