Lets take a MINI run to and through the Brooklyn neighborhood of Dyker Heights and take in this world famous shrine to over-the-top Christmas wattage.

It's a very impromptu meet and I must admit I'm using an existing run sheet from this same event that was held in 2004, I hope nothing has changed......

When: Thursday, Dec 21 - 800PM
Where: Nathans parking lot, the corner of 86th St and Battery Ave, Dyker Heights Brooklyn
How to get there take I-278 to the 86th St Exit. Turn Left on 86th St, the Nathans will be on your right up about a half block or so. Or MapQuest this destination 86th St & Battery Ave, Brooklyn NY 11228

For Dinner we can head straight down 86th street for a MINI scenic ride under the train tracks in NY to the L & B Spumoni Gardens which is another Brooklyn landmark.

The idea was originated on NE MINI by capcity http://nemini.org/index.php/topic,7282.msg157858.html#new

I thought it would be great to do it again,  and since some interest has been expressed, I decided to post a date and start a new thread on NE MINI http://nemini.org/index.php/topic,7318.msg157863.html#new along with including usminiclub to join in on the fun. Smiley

I do hope some of the members who attended the 1st one will be able to attend this one again.

Awesome Grin  We might not leave exactly at 8:00PM.  At the 1st Run we were waiting for a group from
Westchester and I believe by the time they arrived we finally left @ 9:00PM, which was okay.

Where do you work?  I'll PM you my cell #.

I've printed out the sheets for tomorrows Christmas Lights run....and added a fellow MINI's house on the route.( Hello everyone,

If your still planning your Christmas Lights Run in Dyker Heights Brooklyn I'd like to invite you to cruise by my house and check out my display. I live in Dyker Heights on 71st Street between 11th and 12th Ave. It's about 5 minutes from Nathans and maybe 15 minutes from Spumoni Gardens. I think you'll love my display. I have all my lights hooked up to my computer and I synchronized them to music. I have a speaker outside but the best part is that you never have to leave your cars because I have an FM transmitter hooked up and you can listen to the music on FM 88.7 and watch the light show right from your cars. I would be nice to have the Mini's cruising by. I hope you put me on your route, I think you'll enjoy it. If you want to know a little more about my lights I put a link below to 7online Eyewitness news who did a story on my lights last night.

Hope to see you there,

Robert)

Looking forward to seeing everyone.    Hopefully there won't be too much traffic with everyone's commute and I too will have smooth sailing over the GWB, if there is I'll just motor along happily in my MINI.  I've got everyone's cell #'s and I've PM everyone my #.  So if your stuck and delayed or can't make it, either text message me or call me. HO! HO! HO!

Cheers,
Renata

It's just 12 hours away and I wanted to remind everyone to bring your 2-Way Radios.  I've got an extra one on hand, in case someone dosen't have one. Can't wait to motor thru the streets of Dyker Heights....Cheers   Grin Smiley

Thanks for coming out and attending.   It was great to see my old friends and meet a new one czmini, it's been way too long since I've done a run.

Pete, I hope your sister and Mom enjoyed the ride. Congratulations on your new baby, she sure is a BEAUTY.

Lucas, thanks for leaving work early and being sweeper. I will post my pictures tomorrow.

Roman great pics, I'm glad you took a picture of our last stop.  Grin
