Hello,

I came across this Mini Club, and am happy to see such an active community of Mini owners.

I just moved to NYC from Austin, Texas, and yesterday found out that a rat or squirrel has chewed through the vent pipe hose that connects the fuel tank to the carbon filter. The dealer is asking quite a lot of money to replace this hose. I was hoping that some NYC owners could help steer me toward a good Mini mechanic in Brooklyn/NYC. I live in Brooklyn, near the Brooklyn Bridge.

I could probably replace it myself (this doesn't require removing the fuel tank, right?), but I don't have the device to turn off that Check Engine light...

WELCOME!

I just got back from a job performed in our new MINI Coopers only garage. We've done a complete brake job with a happy customer leaving the place. Send me a PM (Private Message) and will be glad to help you.

I think they can check/clear the code at an autozone or sears.  if not I can do it, I am on long island, but I do lone the pizza place under the Brooklyn bridge.
