I have just purchased a 06 mini cooper s.  I love it!  It is a little bigger that my 76 but much quicker.  I did have a little question.  I am thinking of doing one upgrade.  If you had to make a decision to make one upgrade, what would it be?  Anyway I live in Massapequa, NY and would like to speak to people who have experience with these cars.  Let's MOTOR!

Congrats on the new car.  The best bang for your buck is the super charger pulley.  but i would also want to do the intake also.

Most of us, the club members, have done just that as Luk said! Next I would recommend the rear sway bar for better handling on autocross track.

Speaking of AUTOCROSS - I am posting the NY BMWCCA schedule, and lets make the autocross our regular event! Who is in?

What brand of intake is the best for sound ad Hp increase?
Thanks  I am also afraid of voiding warranty.  Is modification detectable if you remove before service?

My 05 mini cooper S has an Alta intake and an 17% pulley, for about 3 years. Went back for service 4 times no voiding warranty issues.

I own 3 MINI's; 03, 05 and 06 MCS all with ALTA 17% pulley and CAI Cools Air Intakes. All serviced by Habberstad or Hassel with no questions asked-this is the purpose of this club; having little more cooperation and no hassles with service under warranty.

ALTA CAI Here: http://www.usminiclub.net/product_info.php?cPath=53_24&products_id=109

ALTA 17% Pulley Here: http://www.usminiclub.net/product_info.php?cPath=53_24&products_id=36
The 17% need a new shorter belt all in stock and installation is also available here:

i have the craven, the truth about intakes it that they all will do mostly the same thing for your power, so it comes down to the one that you think looks the best for you.  I like the Craven and DDM
