We have a meeting In March, I would like anyone to post things in this thread that they think should be talked about at the meeting.  I will add to this list as I get ideas.  We will talk about and vote on whatever we have time to at the march meeting.  Please dont Kill the topics, if they are on teh list we know that we need to talk about it, no need to bring it up again in this thread thank you :-)

1) Dues (we know about this, no need to bring it up again)
2) Wine giveaway (how often, how much, Legal?)
3) who makes the meeting date and how professional the venue is where the meeting is held - along with those that can dial in for the meeting rather than be onsite, which facilitates meeting attendance and should count as an attended rather than absent meeting member (Zoomer)

Maybe we should give a bottle a way every time we have a rally/event. I know that in April when we do the POKER Run each 1st, 2nd and 3rd place gets a trophy and a bottle. Next maybe at the Round Long Island and last at the end of the year dinner party?

Sunday March 8 is St Baldrick's charity event for the cause against childhood cancer... not sure how many will be going to that... I know that's more important than anything in the world... any chance of moving the date?

How about talking about who makes the meeting date and how professional the venue is where the meeting is held - along with those that can dial in for the meeting rather than be onsite, which facilitates meeting attendance and should count as an attended rather than absent meeting member...?

What time is this meeting and how long is the meeting typically - and where is it held?

Also, I do believe that if anyone has something to say, he or she should be able to say it if he or she wants to bring up a point without being stifled.  Being stifled would not be a fair thing to do as long as it doesn't attack someone personally, why not bring it up!?

Back to the topic - I am really going to try (cannot guarantee) to make this meeting because I found out that the St Baldrick's event started at 11am to 7pm.  I may not be able to stay for all of it and depending on my surgical recovery progress and if I have to go in for surgery again due to a recent complication that I had to for a cat scan today, I would like to be there.  I think I have Paul and Rob's blessing, as Adam's as well - I think it would be neat to meet some of you in people that I haven't met in the past - yes, that means you Scott too Smiley  ..just to say hello and show you I'm no freak... haha

We are all adults, and as adults, it's not like we're in high school.  We have to give mutual respect to one another in person.  The Internet is just words - we have to give mutual respect and most of all we have to agree to disagree.

If someone has a gripe about someone else, it's done in private, and not in front of the entire club, and it's not going to get violent either.  No-one wants to hear about grievances and no-one wants a black eye.  We are not cavemen, and we are all adults that can manage each other's relationships.  Some of us have tempers, and I've learned to lower the drama in person because no-one likes drama either.  It's enough some women that we watch on television provide us with enough drama (no offense and I'm only joking)..

Just remember to watch "LOST" tonight ok?  Set your DVRs if you can't

Cheers..

Best to you all - I'm really really sad about my health crises.  Now all I need to be told is that I have cancer.  oy.  G-d, I hope not... but I am scared.

Actually, I'm very sorry, truthfully.  I wouldn't wish that on anyone... my prayers are with her and your family...
I go this morning for my results... wish me well...

By the way - ask around - I wouldn't joke about such a thing, seriously..

All the best to you
Jonathan

PS - I'm really not such a bad guy that you think I am...

OK, back to the question I asked previously Smiley

Details of 8 March meeting?

I'm seriously considering coming if my health allows it..

Paul - please don't make it too early as we old farts are not able to make it from Connecticut in time otherwise Smiley

Also - immediately after the meeting I really should get back to St Baldrick's in Fairfield so that I can be there, being that our business is sponsoring the event among other sponsors..

Won't be able to make this meeting, more surgery, and too much for me to get down there, pain has come back this morning... hopefully in April... I'll stick my 2cents in in April, if you don't mind Cheesy

Oh, and to anyone that I may have offended, just in case something goes wrong with my surgery, I wish you all well and peace between you and me.  I would never want to leave the earth knowing I offended someone drastically.

I just can't believe I have to have *another* surgery.

Zoomer best of luck with your surgery. Sorry to hear you need ot go back in.

I will be unable to make the meeting - just found out it is my nephew's b'day so once again family obligations need to take priority.

1) Those who were there last time know my thoguhts - I am all for a suggested donation
2) With a donation of $25 (maybe $10) or more you get a sticker to put on your car (can we afford the cost??) Maybe we make 50 to start?
3) Charilty ideas - I thnk we should pick one charity to focus on for any fundraising (or excess $$$ from events to go to) then do one off events, blood drive, St Baldricks, Breast cancer walk, Habitat for Humantity and we can also do a build day at one of their houses.  We all have our favorites so I we need to determie how we allocate $$ to our charity of choice vs others.
4) Other needs from our donations - MINIQ expenses, website expenses, raffle prizes, dinner costs for members voted deserving of it
5) monthly wine give away - maybe not the best use of our donations but good idea for MINI Q raffle.  Pick up a wine from each stop on our tour?
6) back to the dealers for meetings?  I think having some meetings at the dealers helps us with keeping up relations with them as well as allowing those in the club contacts to go to if they encounter any dealer issues.

I think that is all I have but will add during the week.

Sorry I will miss everyone this month.

Quoting, who was it, in the movie "Stripes," the actual classic with Bill Murray, "the man, the myth the legend," I present to you Adam..

Thanks friend.. I get these sad spurts about needing a sixth surgery.. not depression but sadness.. an emotion due to my sixth need.  I am prone to these things.  Anyone who wants to know, surgery part is nothing - in fact I was cracking jokes as I may have mentioned as they were wheeling me into the operating room and had the whole team of doctors and nurses who were operating on me in stitches.. no pun intended.. I don't have any clue as to where I was getting my content.. it's the pain - the pain  - the pain afterwards.. that's what one suffers about from the surgery.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words and I hope to see you guys sometime in the future.  Here I am recovering from one surgery a few weeks ago, and being told that I need another one.  Being brave, I will go through it all again.

I will add all of this to the agenda, and yes I already added several of your points to date kind of anticipating.  We will miss you but there will be the meeting minutes for you to keep up to date.
