Wanna make a run from Southampton to Montauk Point?  Think sunroofs open, tops down, mild spring weather, pre-Memorial Day traffic in the Hamptons and lots of MINI's!  I have more info on the run posted on nemini including Ferry discounts if coming from New England, but since most here are on Long Island, just the basics are here.

10:00 a.m. - Meet at Coopers Beach, Southampton, NY
10:15 a.m. - Motor to Montauk Point State Park (parking fee ~ $6)
11:00 a.m. - Park in the lot closest to the lighthouse, hang out, drool over MINI's, mingle, laugh, sightsee, take a lot of pictures.
12:30ish - Motor to Sag Harbor for lunch (I'll have further info and pinpoint directions to give out when we're in Montauk)
3:00ish - Motor back to the Sunrise highway via twistys, bridges, beaches (aka Noyak Road and North Sea Road) and head home (where ever home should be).

So that's the Big Picture.  Here are the smaller, yet important details.

How to get to Coopers Beach:
For those with navigation - Coopers Beach is 268 Meadow Lane, Southampton.  For those already on the Island without navigation - take the Sunrise (Rt. 27) east and pick up this map:

I'm in on this run.  Maybe all of us Western Islanders could meet somewhere central.  Airport Plaza in Farmingdale (near the bagel place/Borders)?

Sorry I think that's the same day off H.I.N.  (Hot Import Nights) at Nassau Coliseum. My car should be there. (Got an invite from VTR)

mini_z, that sounds like a good enough reason to not make it - if you make it on TV let us know!!

Rob - it's a nice day to motor; I'll put you on the list!

Between here and NEMINI, we're up to about 15 MINI's and roughly 20 people.  Lunch will be at Cappelletti Italian Grill in Sag Harbor.  Met up with the owner, Luigi, today and he's pretty excited to fill his lot with MINI's!  His wife and daughter own MINI's and it sounds like he may be next.  If I remember, we can get about 40 of us at tables and a few more at the bar...  just keep me updated since I want to give them a firm number a week prior to the run!
